Requirements for Undergraduate, Graduate Alumni and Honorary Membership

Any male may be considered for undergraduate membership if they meet all of the following criteria.

  • Attends an institution of post-secondary education and taking courses leading to his first academic degree;
  • Enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits;
  • Is of good moral character;
  • Has successfully completed one semester of a regular year’s program;
  • Is in good academic standing and possesses a minimum 2.5 on a 4.0 grade point scale; or equivalent except where the minimum grade required by the college for graduation is greater, then the minimum grade for graduation must be used for eligibility;

Any male may be considered for graduate alumni membership if they are of good moral character and meet one or more of the following criteria..

  • Has minimally earned a four year baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution;
  • Successful current business owner for a minimum of two years;
  • Full stint of Armed Forces duty and at least two years of employment in a trade or profession

Any male may be considered for honorary membership if they meet the following criteria

  • At least 25 years of age;
  • Does not possess  or hold membership with another Greek- lettered organization;
  • Possess a solid moral character and are outstanding members of the local community;
  • Male members of the faculty of the institution where the chapter making the nomination is located;
  • Men who have rendered or are rendering important service to the institution, community, state or nation;
  • Political Officers  - Local, state and national appointed to terms of office
  • School Administrators – (Collegiate Tiers of Leadership)
  • Law Enforcement – (High ranking officials:  Judges, Attorneys, FBI, CIA)
  • Professional Athletes
  • Radio Personalities
  • Television Personalities (New Anchors, Reporters)
  • Human Services (Psychiatrists, Psychologists, etc.)
  • Medical Practitioners
  • Ministerial (Pastors, Bishops, Priests, etc.)
  • Prominent Entrepreneurs
  • Celebrities (Film, music, etc)
  • Men who have rendered or are rendering important service to the chapter;
  • Fathers of initiated members of the chapter;
  • Is recommended by a member of Delta Psi Chi who is in good standing.


Delta Psi Chi Fraternity, Inc. strictly prohibits hazing in any form whether physical or mental as a term or condition of membership in the organization. Hazing is illegal and a crime in most states. Those aspiring to become a member of our the organization should participate only in the sanctioned membership process of the Fraternity and must not agree to submit to hazing in order to obtain Fraternity membership. Those seeking admission to the Fraternity must not submit themselves, or agree to submit themselves, to any membership activities that are prohibited by the Fraternity. Members of Delta Psi Chi are forbidden from requiring any aspiring prospect to engage in prohibited membership activities. Members of Delta Psi Chi are not authorized to require any aspiring prospect to engage in prohibited membership activities. All official contact and correspondence to the aspiring prospects regarding membership intake will come from the Corporate Headquarters of Delta Psi ChiFraternity, Inc. via the Vice President of Membership. The only official and sanctioned contact regarding intake is outlined for the aspiring prospect in the Fraternity’s description of the “MEMBERSHIP PROCESS”. Aspiring prospects should only participate in membership activities when the date, time and place have been established by the Chapter Leadership team. Further, no individual member or chapter of the Fraternity may require additional or different terms or conditions of membership for an aspiring prospect or group of aspiring prospects. Aspiring prospects should immediately report any infraction or irregularity in membership intake to the National Executive Council.
